When she couldn’t find the right linen fabric in Japan, she turned to Lithuania, a country with a long tradition of flax cultivation and weaving.
There, she discovered a balance between dependable craftsmanship and the natural texture that still defines the brand today.

Made in Lithuania: The Heritage of Flax
All Fog Linen Work linen products are woven and sewn in Lithuania, one of the Baltic countries with a deep tradition of linen making.
Generations of artisans there have mastered the process of turning flax fibers into fabric known for its strength, breathability, and natural feel.
Colors, weaves, and patterns are designed in Japan, then woven and finished by Lithuanian craftspeople.

A Sister Brand: miiThaaii
In 2016, Sekine launched miiThaaii — meaning “sweets” in Hindi — as a sister brand to Fog Linen Work.
It began during her travels in India, where she discovered textiles full of color, warmth, and handmade character.
The first inspiration came from the lungi, a checked cotton fabric worn daily in South India.
From there, she encountered Kantha quilts stitched by hand in Bengal, silk-cotton fabrics developed with local artisans, delicate Jamdani weaves, and textured Indian linen with a casual, washed finish.
While Fog Linen Work reflects quiet order and refinement, miiThaaii expresses spontaneity and craft.
Together, they show two approaches to the same belief — that good materials and honest making bring beauty to everyday life.
