Sometimes we don’t notice daily life as much as we should. At Old Pine Trees, we believe in vackrare vardagsvara — “more beautiful everyday things” — an idea born in Scandinavia that reminds us that even the simplest objects deserve beauty and care. To us, beauty and care shape how we live, move, and feel — they make ordinary days gentler, lighter, and a little more our own.
They come to life through four ideas: Simplicity, Usefulness, Warmth & Fun, and Honesty.
Simplicity
Simplicity isn’t about doing less — it’s about making things clear. It’s the kind of design that feels right the moment you touch it. When something is simple, it feels open and easy to live with; it supports life instead of getting in the way. Simplicity gives space for comfort, calm, and small moments of joy to appear naturally.
Usefulness
Design should make life easier, not louder. The best things work without effort — a chair that feels right, a cup that pours smoothly, a light that softens a room. Usefulness gives beauty its purpose; it helps things stay with us, day after day, by quietly adding a bit of ease to how we live.
Warmth & Fun
A home needs warmth — a softness that welcomes us, colours that lift a space, a shape that feels alive. But it also needs play — a spark that keeps things from feeling too careful. When warmth and fun meet, a space feels natural and lived in, full of small details that bring comfort and energy in equal measure. They remind us that design can make life not only calmer, but happier too.
Honesty
We value design that feels genuine — where material, maker, and intention are clear. Honesty means showing how things are made, respecting the hands behind them, and trusting thoughtful work to speak for itself. It isn’t found in “democratic design” sold through exclusivity, or in minimalism dressed as luxury, but in the steady integrity of something made to last. We don’t try to impress; we try to connect — through objects that feel true to everyday life.
Our Work
Old Pine Trees curates furniture, tableware, textiles, and small objects made with care and meant to be lived with. Some pieces may cost more than we wish, but they’re built to stay — to grow familiar, to carry traces of use, and to bring warmth into the days they’re part of. We choose what we’d want to keep close — things that make life a little calmer, a little brighter, and remind us that the ordinary can be beautiful in itself.

เรามักมองข้ามสิ่งเล็ก ๆ ในชีวิตประจำวัน ทั้งที่สิ่งเหล่านี้อยู่กับเรามากที่สุด Old Pine Trees เชื่อในแนวคิด vackrare vardagsvara “more beautiful everyday things” (สิ่งธรรมดาที่งดงามยิ่งขึ้นในชีวิตประจำวัน) แนวคิดจากสแกนดิเนเวียที่เตือนให้เราเห็นคุณค่าในของใช้รอบตัว เพราะแม้สิ่งที่เรียบง่ายที่สุด หากออกแบบด้วยความใส่ใจ ก็สามารถทำให้ชีวิตรู้สึกสบายขึ้น อ่อนโยนขึ้น และอบอุ่นขึ้นได้ เมื่อสิ่งที่เราใช้ทุกวันทั้งสวยและใช้ดี มันจะทำให้วันธรรมดาดูมีชีวิตขึ้น และรู้สึกใกล้ตัวเรามากขึ้น

Simplicity (ความเรียบง่าย)
ความเรียบง่ายไม่ใช่การลดสิ่งต่าง ๆ ให้เหลือน้อยที่สุด แต่คือการลดส่วนที่รบกวนสายตาหรือการใช้งาน เช่น การตกแต่งที่ซับซ้อนเกินไป หรือการใช้สีสันที่ฉูดฉาดโดยไม่จำเป็น เพื่อให้เหลือเพียงสิ่งที่จำเป็นและกลมกลืนกับชีวิตจริง ของที่เรียบง่ายจะเข้าใจได้ทันทีเมื่อมอง เหมาะกับการใช้งาน และไม่แย่งความสนใจเกินไป เมื่อสิ่งรอบตัวไม่ยุ่งยาก เราจะรู้สึกผ่อนคลายและใช้ชีวิตได้อย่างราบรื่นโดยไม่ติดขัด ความเรียบง่ายจึงไม่ใช่แค่รูปแบบ แต่เป็นแนวทางในการใช้ชีวิตที่ทำให้ทุกอย่างดูสงบและสมดุลขึ้น
Usefulness (ประโยชน์ใช้สอย)
ดีไซน์ที่ดีควรช่วยให้ชีวิตง่ายขึ้น ไม่ใช่แค่ดูดี ของที่มีคุณค่าคือของที่ทำงานได้ดีโดยไม่ต้องคิดมาก เช่น เก้าอี้ที่นั่งแล้วพอดี แก้วที่จับถนัดมือ หรือโคมไฟที่ให้แสงนุ่มตา เมื่อของใช้งานได้ดี มันจะอยู่กับเราได้นาน เพราะเราใช้ซ้ำได้โดยไม่เบื่อ ความสวยงามจึงมีความหมายมากขึ้นเมื่อมาพร้อมกับฟังก์ชันที่ตอบโจทย์ชีวิตประจำวัน
Warmth & Fun (ความอบอุ่นและความสนุก)
พื้นที่ควรให้ความรู้สึกอบอุ่นและเป็นกันเอง พร้อมกับพลังเล็ก ๆ ที่ทำให้เรารู้สึกมีชีวิตชีวา ความอบอุ่นอาจอยู่ในสัมผัสของวัสดุ สีที่อ่อนโยน หรือแสงที่ให้ความสบายตา ส่วนความสนุกคือรายละเอียดเล็ก ๆ ที่ทำให้พื้นที่ไม่ดูนิ่งหรือเรียบเกินไป เมื่อความอบอุ่นและความสนุกอยู่ร่วมกัน พื้นที่จะรู้สึกเป็นธรรมชาติ อยู่สบาย และน่าใช้ในทุกวัน ดีไซน์จึงไม่ได้มีไว้แค่ทำให้ชีวิตสงบขึ้นเท่านั้น แต่ยังทำให้ชีวิตมีความสุขมากขึ้นด้วย
Honesty (ความซื่อสัตย์จริงใจ)
เราชื่นชมการออกแบบที่ตรงไปตรงมา เห็นได้ชัดว่าสร้างจากวัสดุใด และตั้งใจให้เป็นอย่างไรความซื่อสัตย์ในดีไซน์หมายถึงการไม่หลอกหรือสร้างเรื่องราวเกินจริงเพื่อทำให้ของดูมีคุณค่ามากกว่าความเป็นจริง เรามองว่าความจริงใจระหว่างผู้สร้างและผู้ใช้สำคัญกว่าความหรูหราที่เกิดจากการโฆษณาหรือภาพลักษณ์ ของที่ซื่อสัตย์ไม่ต้องอวด แต่คงคุณค่าได้ด้วยความเรียบง่ายและความมั่นใจในสิ่งที่มันเป็น
เราจึงไม่พยายามทำให้คนประทับใจชั่วคราว แต่สร้างความเชื่อมั่นผ่านของที่รู้สึกจริงและใช้ได้จริงในชีวิตประจำวัน

Old Pine Trees คัดสรรเฟอร์นิเจอร์ ของใช้บนโต๊ะ ผ้า และของตกแต่งที่ผลิตด้วยความใส่ใจ และออกแบบมาเพื่อใช้จริงในชีวิตประจำวัน บางชิ้นอาจมีราคาสูงกว่าที่คาด แต่ถูกสร้างมาให้อยู่กับเราได้นาน ไม่ใช่ของที่สวยเพียงช่วงเวลาเดียว เมื่อใช้ไปเรื่อย ๆ สิ่งเหล่านี้จะคุ้นมือขึ้น มีร่องรอยจากการใช้งาน และดูมีชีวิตมากขึ้น เราจึงเลือกเฉพาะสิ่งที่เราเองอยากเก็บไว้ใกล้ตัว ของที่ทำให้ชีวิตสงบ อบอุ่น และเตือนให้เราจำได้ว่า ความธรรมดาก็สามารถงดงามได้ในตัวมันเอง
